About NEET
The NEET exam is the gateway to medical and dental education in India. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), it assesses students on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology — testing concepts, application, and analytical skills.
To be eligible for NEET, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, and must be at least 17 years old.

NEET Exam Highlights
Examination Structure
NEET is an offline, pen-and-paper exam conducted in MCQ format. Students answer 180 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for a total of 720 marks. The exam follows a +4 for correct answers and –1 for incorrect responses. The total duration is 3 hours 20 minutes.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, securing at least 50% marks (40% for reserved categories).The minimum age is 17 years at the time of admission, and there is no upper age limit for NEET.
Admission Process
NEET serves as the sole entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses across India through centralized counseling for government and private institutions.
